The expectation was to create a video that could be shared copyright-free and evoke an inviting feeling to heighten their excitement about the future of e-commerce. Despite our limitations in resources and time, we focused on utilizing stock images and videos for unrestricted distribution after purchase. Our initial step involved selecting music to set the pace and theme of the video. To maintain simplicity, we used only one piece of music for straightforward editing. Choosing a fast-paced, upbeat song influenced our decision to employ fast and dynamic transitions. Given that Central is an Asian retail store, we intentionally selected models of Asian descent in both images and videos to better appeal to investors while maintaining a fashionable aesthetic in line with Central's position as a luxury retailer.
Editing
One of the purposes of the video is to showcase the newly re-platformed app that we've been diligently working on. This includes highlighting the redesigned homepage and the streamlined single-page checkout. We integrated design elements from both the homepage and checkout, such as color schemes, icons, and product card into the video edit transitions. This integration helps seamlessly connect the stock videos with the innovative design of the re-platformed app.
